Yesterday I woke up to hear that my grandmother had passed away. I dont really know what to say about it.

birthdays

Except from last days news, everything has just been great lately. And again I have alot of people to congratulate for their birthday! Ias girlfriend turned 17 some time ago, and I had so much fun that day. Congratulations again Linn and thanks for that great evening! Ias and I spent most of the time there playing pool, it was a very long time since I laughed that much - we did so many totally fucked up attempts to get those stupid little balls into the holes, aah it was such a great time.



As I said, its not only Linn that had a birthday, but also Josefa and Antonia. Happy birthday to you!! And tomorrow is Paulinas birthday, and not long after that its Lottas and fyrk0s birthdays! HAAAAAPPY BIRTHDAY TOOO YOOOU!

wandering around in the middle of nowhere

I dont know how many times I've been wandering around in the middle of nowhere with someone and just have no damn clue about where the hell I am and in what direction I have to go to reach my destination. For some reason, the person I've done this most with lately is Ias, and guess what? We did it again! Not as extreme as other times, but it was still really nice. It all started with food (as all good stories). We went to McDonalds to eat, the plan was to go to the movies after but we couldnt really find any movie that looked interesting enough to wait for, so we called fyrk0 and asked if he wanted to watch a movie if we rented one and went over to his place, but he had plans already, he was going over to some friends to watch a movie, so we asked if we could join and it was no problem so we did. We walked over to my supersexy senpai fyrk0 aka Eula and crashed in his bed till it was time to go.. The walk to his friend seemed to never end, we walked for days and nights, probably weeks (well, atleast 20 minutes or so) and when we finally arrived, Ias and I decided to try to catch the last train home instead of watching the movie so we went out into the darkness and guessed a direction that could lead us to the trainstation and began to walk. We did it! Okay, maybe it doesnt sound so funny when I write about it, but I had really fun.

school

School is going pretty fine right now, what we are focusing on at the moment is subnetting (kul spel!). Basicly, its about calculating IP adresses and subnet masks, converting it to binary and back. It looks more complicated than it is, but we will soon get into alot more complex stuff, so the next blogentry about school will most likely make have a totally different intro-sentence.

It is now five days left to Dreamhack Winter 2007 Ticket Release, I dont know if I will buy one, but it does unfortunatly seems like I wont go this year, money issue mostly, but also because neither Ias or fyrk0 is going, and how fun can it be without those cute little fellas?

videogames and gingerbread

A beautiful day, not long ago, a bunch of geeks called 6poolrush, Magnus, J0k3 and Ryman decided to meet to play some videogames, and so they did...

Holy shit we had alot of fun! We spent a couple of hours talking and playing Gradius V, Puzzle Bubble and Guitar Hero. I totally fell inlove with Gradius, and Rymans explanation of the game before he started it was pretty damn accurate: - This game is the test for Ninjas. Everyone who can beat this game are true Ninjas.



I doubt anyone without M4D N1NJ4 SK1LLZ can survive till the end and beat the final boss, damn that game was hard - and fun. I kind of fell inlove with Guitar Hero also, I had been sceptical towards the whole idea about having a guitar instead of a gamepad but I must admit that it was really entertaining.

It was really nice to meet the whole gang again and eat some gingerbread while playing videogames just like in the good old days and I hope we will do it more often in the future.

studying with 6pool

Hahaha, got ya! No, we didnt study. As usaully when I go to his place to study we ended up gaming alot. This time it wasnt PC gaming though, he has a Playstation 3 now and after our little gaming evening at Ryman earlier I had bought Gradius V to improve my reflexes to Ninja-level. So what we did was playing alot of Gradius, and I dont even think we ever finished the third level, damn that shit is hard. We also decided to try one of his games, "Resistance: Fall of Man", in cooperative mode, since he never played it single player yet the story was totally new for us both and an we began to play... 15 hours later we finished the game, and I must say that it is a really really good game, the weapons and enviroments made this game outstanding.



All this console gaming just made me hunger for more, we have had alot of discussion about videogames and how many we have missed and how many we wanted to play and have. It didnt take long before we went online to order some more games, and while we were at it we found alot of gamerelated collectibles, most of them Final Fantasy Related that we just fell inlove with instantly.

I will ofcourse also buy Final Fantasy XII, but it is still really expensive and I have alot of games to finish before I will have time for another heavy title such as FF12. I also want to buy "Guitar Hero" but I think "Rockstar" will be so much better so maybe I should just wait till it gets released. Aaah there are so many games I want! I also want Project Zero/Fatal Frame, the Silent Hill games and ofcourse the cute Spyro games.. So many games, so expensive.. argh!

When we tried to study, we quickly went offtopic to pretty philosophic subjects, we started to discuss sound and how amazing it really is how computers can generate almost an identical imitation of your voice and play it on the other side of the world half a second after you said it in your microphone. We talked about other stuff such as brain activity, animals behaviour and understanding, science and technology, and all kind of things, sometimes really deep thoughts and tried to imagine things that is really hard to imagine (Imagine a color you have never seen! Why shouldnt something like that exist? There are sounds that we cant hear, so why not colors we cant see?). The shopping spree didnt end when I got home from 6poolrush, the first thing I did when I got home was to order three movies from my favourite anime-movie director, Hayao Miyazaki: Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's Delivery Service and Princess Mononoke. I want to have all his movies, and I already have Spirited Away from earlier.
