school, love & spain - 02/02/10

school

This morning I met with my group a few hours before the lecture to work some on our assignment. It felt really good to get started, I've had my share of last-minute hand ins in the past.
It was fun, we are supposed to write about a social phenomenon that you can see in our present society.

Everyone who knows me, probably knows that I detest how the youth grows up too fast (Blog entry 04/11/09), so I told people that I would be interested in writing about that kind of stuff. We talked about it, people were on board but we had to specify it somehow, and came to the idea that we would write about The Fjortis (Swedish expression I'm not sure how to translate :P).
We started writing down stuff, mostly about the introduction to our work and how we came to chose it and why. We also worked on the definition and since its a term understood differently by many people, I suggested that we make a few interviews to see what people have to say and analyse the results. So we did. It was interesting, and I feel that we are working well as a group and I think we will do great on this project.

I saw an interesting video on youtube today about young girls in Sweden (its Swedish):

I remember when our lecturer pointed out how amazingly well our class helped each other out after getting the news that the book (course literature) were sold out practically everywhere. People started looking at local librarys and second hand bookstores and get as many copies as possible to help everyone out. I thought that was great, really.
Today when I saw a (cute) girl walk up to the teacher, telling him that she might not be listed on his paper since she was a reserve for the program and today was her first day.
I felt for her, because it must be really hard to get into a class this late - there is only three weeks left of the course and the first assignment has to be done already the day after tomorrow, and she had no clue about any of it and she had no book (hell, she didnt even know which book to get).
So I sat down next to her, and during the first break I offered her some help to get her login information to the computers and the MDH-card to access the computer rooms. We started talking abit, and it turned out that she already had those things, so I started to tell her everything that she has to do for the first assignment, then told her about the big one aswell.
It must suck to be new if you get in a few weeks later, because all the groups are already made and stuff like that. I was a reserve myself, and I can imagine that I would REALLY appreciate if someone would help me catch up like that, so I guess thats why I helped her so much.
After the class I gave her some papers that we got earlier and I went through my notes with her, explaining it as well as I could (someday, people should really make a celebration day of the day when I chose not to become a teacher).

I felt fucking good about myself, and really proud. I think I made her life alot easier aswell :)

"did you eat yet?"

"Did you eat yet?", That's sometimes all I have to ask to have a reason to drive to Hallstahammar to meet Ias & Linn :) Antonia and I went to visit Ias & Linn a few days ago to spend some time together and eat something nice. We also had the luck to see fyrk0 for alittle while but he had to take off pretty early :/ Ias challenged me in WII Golf - I sucked -, I lost :(
The evening was great, we talked alot and Antonia said things that made me incredibly happy :)

We also paid my sister a quick visit, we retrieved our flower and talked abit :) Elias was so happy and I like to tell myself that is because we were there to visit ;)

Btw - Ias and I started to play more Q3 together, lots of fun!
